Titan OS Raises $46 Million to Expand Smart TV Platform and Advertising Business

Barcelona-based smart TV operating system developer Titan OS has raised $46 million in equity and debt financing to expand its international operations, strengthen advertising partnerships, and improve content discovery. The funding, announced on November 4, 2026, brings the company’s total capital raised to approximately $110 million.

The financing includes debt facilities from funds and accounts managed by BlackRock, alongside participation from existing investors Highland Europe and Mangrove Capital Partners. Titan OS previously secured $58 million in December 2025 and said the latest investment would allow it to accelerate expansion rather than pursue slower, self-funded growth.

Titan OS Expands to 30 Million Users

Titan OS develops a smart television operating system that allows manufacturers to generate recurring revenue through advertising and partnerships with content providers. Its platform supports free ad-supported television channels, commonly known as FAST channels, alongside advertising placements across television interfaces.

The company now reaches approximately 30 million users, compared with 18 million a year earlier. Its expanded distribution includes advertising sales partnerships with TiVo in selected markets and streaming service Tubi in the United Kingdom.

Titan OS has also added television manufacturers Sharp, AOC, Vestel, and Skyworth to its partner network. Philips, an existing partner, adopted Titan OS for its 2026 television lineup, replacing Google TV on selected models.

Chief Financial Officer Hyoung-Ung Kim said the company’s expanded audience has attracted additional advertising agencies and commercial partners. Titan OS generates revenue from advertising inventory across its own platform and through agreements that extend its advertising reach to other services.

AI Development and Content Discovery Priorities

Titan OS plans to invest in AI-powered content discovery tools designed to help viewers find programs across streaming services and FAST channels. The company is also refining its interface and expanding content partnerships to reduce the time users spend searching for something to watch.

Tobias Pfalzgraff, senior vice president of people and marketing, said Titan OS does not operate its own streaming content service, allowing it to recommend programming from different providers without prioritizing its own catalog. The company is also applying AI to advertising recommendations and audience segmentation.

International Expansion and Manufacturer Partnerships

Titan OS has expanded its workforce to 250 employees and opened a London office focused on advertising operations. The company also maintains offices in Barcelona, Amsterdam, and Taipei.

Kim said rising semiconductor costs, partly driven by demand for AI computing hardware, have increased pressure on television manufacturers to develop revenue streams beyond device sales. Titan OS offers manufacturers revenue-sharing opportunities through advertising and content partnerships after televisions have been sold.

The company plans to pursue additional television manufacturing partnerships and expand its geographical coverage using the new financing. Its strategy focuses on increasing advertising reach while providing manufacturers with opportunities to generate recurring revenue from connected televisions.
